Dealership has examined vehicle, and worked on fuel pump on two occasions, and fuel delivery module replaced by a manufacturer's recall. Please provide any additional information/attachments.

Vehicle started to slide to left into the cross lane. She applied brakes, and there was no response. Then, she slammed into a mud enbankment. Started vehicle up, and she drove away to the service department. A week before that incident, service department kept vehicle for five days. Mechanic gave her serveral pages of investigation of vehicle, and told her that she had to use summer blend gasoline so that her vehicle wouldn't stall.

2000 Taurus with duratec engine has a 'complete' engine shutdown at 35 mph. When the 'complete' engine shutdown occurred, I lost control of the vehicle. I managed to stop the vehical in the road. This was a 'life threatening' experience as I directed traffic around my 'dead' car. A wrecker was called and the car towed to a Ford dealership. Three days to fix the car! if the "complete engine shutdown" occurred when travelling 65 mph on the highway, the result could be serious injury or death. Ford needs to investigate the "quality" defect in this car. I have great concern when driving this vehical for fear of an engine shutdown on the highway.
