A;ril 2002 purchase used 1999 Ford tarus (odometer reading 70198. April 2003 transmission failed (odometer reading 82,719). Replaced with cost paid by me (total cost $2,085, warranty $1,238, I paid $847). Questioning service recall for possible failed transmissions and why dealerships did not repair when service recall bulletins were distributed.
Ongoing problem with lower servo unit keeps failing, unit has been replaced on five separate occasions in manual transmission. Failed unit caused severe vibration and slippages while driving. Dealer notified. Feel free to provide any further information concerning this matter.
Consumer states even when pressing on brakes, the vehicle will try to move forward or jerk. Contacted dealer. Consumer states vehicle leaks oil in the hood area on the right side, also smokes and there is a noise on the right side when consumers foot is on the brake.
