Consumer vehicle made a loud screeching noise and then died.*** nar received 10-12-05*** when the vehicle went through puddles the consumer heard a loud noise on the passenger side which was followed by the power steering locking up and stalling. The dealer concluded that the problem was the crank pulley, tensioner or idler pulley. The dealer also replaced the serpentine belt. The consumer requested reimbursement from the manufacturer.
When starting vehicle it began to shake, and then the check engine light came on. Drove the vehicle home but at a very slow pace. She vehicle acted as if it did not want to go. Consumer stated last week the vehicle would not start at all. She had the vehicle towed to a mechanic, who determined that vehicle needed a timing belt, which she had put on.
