Taurus SE 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 147,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

This car required the installation of 3 AC compressors within a 5 year period. On another Internet page I found out that this make and model is known for what is referred to as the "black death"...compressor crapping out and leaving dark lubricant.

Taurus SE V6

  • Automatic transmission

This car is the ABSOLUTE WORST car I have ever EVER EVER owned! before warranty was up, it had been in with transmission issues 3X, I have had brakes replaced 3X, The AC went out every year for the last 4 years of its life.It was repaired every time until i finally gave up on that issue! THEN .It started stalling every time I stopped or slowed down.,, the mechanic tried to repair it on numerous occasions with vacuum hoses, intake valves u name it and never did find the issue, there have been electrical issues with the motor in the passenger window, it hasn't worked for years and years... the motor in the moon roof went to crap when it only had 37K miles on it, and guess what???? THIS CAR ONLY HAD .....103,000 MILES on IT! WHEN THE ENGINE SEIZED! Oh, did I mention I had to put in an entire new R &P steering system, 4 batteries, front lower and upper ball joints, new exhaust, wheel bearings in the front left, the rear fenders look like RUSTY CRAP! I Bought this car when it only had 16,000 miles on it in 2002...and I am the 2nd owner, the first, my sister in law. I am 45 yrs old and treated that piece of crap car like a queen!! I changed its oil diligently every 3-3500k miles, had all its routine maintenance, and never hot rodded or mistreated the thing in the 8 years I owned it and It was nothing more than a money pit and source of aggravation and migraines for me the entire time! the thing never even averaged 10,000 miles a year on it. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER RECOMMEND A FORD TAURUS OR ANY OTHER FORD TO ANY POOR SOUL!!! I am completely back as A DODGE GIRL!
