While starting vehicle and without warning the accelerator pedal stuck. Dealer has been notified about problem. This would be the 5th time that the mechanic had noted and documented that this will continue every 15 thousand miles. Consumer also stated that the problem is the way the throttle body is being made.

Vehicle is put into park gear engine will rev up to 3500 - 4000 rpms. Only way to stop this is to turn vehicle off. Also, when traveling down road at any given speed after he taking foot off accelerator, vehicle will accelerate suddenly. Brakes have to be pressed to slow vehicle down, happens randomly as well. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
Vehicle speed does not decrease after release of gas pedal. Vehicle maintains speed! cruise control is not activated. No engine braking occurs! this happens at any speed. Place trans in nuetral while in motion and the RPM increases afew hundred RPM the maintains RPM. Application of the brakes decreases RPM proportionatly to mph while in nuetral..dealer says " like it or not that is how it is".
Brake pedal at rest is about 1/2 inch above the gas pedal. If driver puts his put to the right on the brake pedal, the toe of the shoe will also contact the accelerator pedal as the brake pedal is depressed.
Accelerator stuck causing an accident. Driving into a parking garage, put the car in reverse because passed the key pad then forward, and vehicle just took off and struck another vehicle.
The design of the accelerator and brake pedals are too close together causing the driver to depress both while attempting to stop resulting in the vehicle lunging forward.
