This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Consumer stated the door panels and molding strip on all 4 doors of vehicle are coming off, this is the second reoccurrence, and the dealer has been notified. The problem is causing the doors not to shut properly.. also there was water coming out of the exhaust, which caused the muffler to rust.
Speedometer head has failed again, original head failed under warranty and was replaced by Ford, the replacement head has now failed leaving me with no idea what speed I am traveling at...Ford is quoting a price of five hundred dollars plus for repairing this item again...my thoughts are that both the original part and the replacement part were defective..they both failed at about the same mileage. It is unconscionable for them to expect an owner to pay for this repair when it appears that they are supplying defective parts!
Power locks make it impossible to open door if switch is held down. Very dangerous situation in event of crash and unconsous or trapped person is on lock, or ni the event of short circut switch failure. Only option would be to break window. Common sense safety design : door handle should always override door lock
