Summary

Steering shaft assemblies contain lower shafts of insufficient length for proper attachment to the shaft insulator flange. Consequence of defect: Shaft could separate, resulting in total loss of steering control and a possible accident.

Actions

Replace steering shaft assembly, as necessary.
