TRUCK HEATING SYSTEM seemed to have a mind of it's own. Temperatures would turn on & off regardless of the settings I had chosen for both driver & passenger's side. Often necessary to crank temperature to the limit just to be heated. Then, randomly, the temperature would change on its own. Took truck to dealer May 2023 & was advised that they found the wires chewed & dead rodents under the hood. The dash was removed & all wires replaced etc. for $1119.00.
I then purchased Rodent repellants, Moth balls & dryer sheets to spread throughout the underneath hood. TWO weeks later, ANOTHER heap of torn material & rodent evidence found under the hood near the battery. ( picture attached).
Returned to Ford dealer & explained again about the reoccurring situation of the heating system. This time they found rodent in heater box & dash. Technician @ Ford dealer gave me another diagnostic invoice to REPAIR the situation AGAIN & try to build a gate to deter future occurrences. New charge to be $ 3302.00.
I feel FORD is entirely responsible for this situation . I should be REFUNDED all my previous payments, travel costs ( two trips to Dealer @ 150 miles), preventative supplies & ANY additional fixings to eliminate this problem. I WILL take this to small claims to ensure Ford's responsibility.
