HVAC blower motor needs replaced and evap box per Ford dealership todd judy Ford. There has been a previous recall on the same model Ford Ranger year 2019. Air conditioning work fine on the passenger vents but blows out hot air on drivers side. 2 separate mechanics at independent mechanic and todd judy Ford dealership report there have been problems with the Ford Ranger air conditioning and heating system regarding dual temperature units. Dealership reports that this is not covered under warranty and is estimated $3200 in repair. The independent mechanic is not able to obtain the part and discovered there was a previous recall on this part on the 2019 Ford Ranger. I have contacted Ford customer service department and they specify that this part and failure of my 2019 Ford Ranger does not have my vehicle listed under the recall although it is the same model. The problem was discovered on [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2019 Ford Rangers were shipped without an engine cover to protect the engine from water intrusion. ?This, along with the design of the plastic cowl at the base of the windshield being a 2 piece design with a seam directly over the engine bay, allows water to drain into the engine bay during periods of heavy rain. Water will drain from the windshield into the top of the engine, and begin filling the spark plug wells under the ignition coil boots and into the engine head. ?This water intrusion can cause engine misfire codes as well as a loss of power while driving, and on multiple instances while merging into traffic, the engine would bog down. ?It wasn't until the most recent occurrence that a check engine light came on. ?I immediately pulled into a shop and they found the plug wells were rusted, corroded and full of water from this happening since the day it rolled off the lot in 2019. ?I have had an independent mechanic assess the damage as well as had the vehicle towed to a local Ford dealer and they found the same condition- with the only solution to replace the engine head as they are unable to remove the plugs due to the damage caused by the water intrusion. An owner should not have to be concerned with parking or driving a vehicle in the rain and whether it will suddenly lose power while driving at highway speeds. ?This is a safety issue that Ford should be forced to take care of. ?They are aware of the issue and have been as they have issued multiple service bulletins with a solution for misfires to change plugs and install an engine cover. ?An engine cover has no bearing on an engine misfire but it shows Ford knows water is getting into engines and causing these problems. Engine/plugs/coils failed, it is available for inspection. Mine and public safety was at risk when driving as it lost power merging into traffic. ? Problem has been confirmed by dealer and independent mechanic. ? Last instance (2/9/24) was first time a CEL came on while driving

I was driving over a bridge at 65 mph on a foggy morning a couple weeks ago and my windshield fogged over. I turned on the defroster and it only blew cold air. I could not see and I couldn't clear it. I had to slow down and find a safe spot to pull over. I had to try to wipe down the windshield and then start driving. It did it again and i had to pull over again and wipe and wait for it to clear to be able to drive. It was foggy the next morning and I had to do the same thing all over again. I stopped by a ford dealer and spoke to someone. He told me, oh yeah we know all about it and so does ford. The ac heater chamber in the dash breaks. Costs about 2 grand to fix. All the new rangers do it. This is a safety defect and needs to be recalled by ford. Thank you.

Ticking sound when i turn off vehicle. Usually did it for about 5 seconds, Now it just keeps on ticking and sounds like it is coming from behind glove box area passenger side. Found a lot of same complaints for this year Ranger and they mention the "Blend Door". If so many complaints shouldn't it be a recall?

See related steering problem report. After Electronic Power Steering Assist went out on vehicle without warning of any kind to owner, dealer's service department diagnostics as best as I can determine did NOT indicate a problem with the parts that were replaced. The parts replaced were: 1. steering gear/rack and pinion/EPAS (which seems to go by various names), and, when installing this new, expensive, and long-in-coming part didn't get the power steering to work, 2. the battery. The scenario suggests that the root problem was the battery, not the steering gear. A representative of another dealer has advised that the first thing they check in cases involving electronic components is the battery. He also advised that Ford does not have a standard operating procedure or service bulletin that says this is something that is to be done. Can this be? Apparently, at least for this vehicle, there was/is no system to check for adequate battery voltage or to warn that electronic components like the power steering may fail if the battery is not replaced. If my research results are correct, the Diagnostic Trouble Codes the Ford dealer repair tech found went to a steering angle sensor in the steering column, and things having to do with the anti-lock brake system. They weren't fixed, but the codes disappeared after the new battery was installed. The diagnostic tools seem to give more misdirection than direction. With so many critical electrical components in today's vehicles, the warning and diagnostic systems seem woefully inadequate. I have read about Fords limiting battery recharging to about 75% and have noted that one of the DTCs involved here, U3003, sets on-demand if the voltage supplies to the ABS module falls below 10 volts. I'm a layman, but these things suggest to me that some of the electronic components require substantial minimum operating voltage which an older battery would not supply, and the recharging cap could exacerbate the problem.

With high outside temperatures A/C unit was on, but only the heating system was working. Air Conditioning system was not functuning and heating system would not go off. With windows down, inside tempearture was over 100 degrees and passing out due to heat was happening. Ford Dealer inspected the problem and said it was a manufacture malfunction. After repairing, the same issue developed again five days later. Ford dealer said it was another malfunctioning manufacture part.

Unknown, My vehicle seems to stall in low gear. I already informed the dealership several times, and they stated that everything was fine. The stalling appears to be getting more frequent as time goes on, and worried that this could cause further damage to the vehicle. This is a safety concern as well.

Drive truck and park in garage and garage smells like gas. Only happens when parking truck in garage right after driving it. This has happened about 3-4 times now. I don't drive it that often. Just had an oil change at Ford and drove home. Then the next day i took it out and parked it in garage and gas smell again. Smell will last 2-3 days if truck stays parked. Have an appt. this coming week at Ford.

I was slowly pulling forward, parking my vehicle. I pressed the brakes and they did not engage. I pumped my brakes and my foot was down to the floor with no brake activity and an involuntary acceleration occurred causing me to crash into a brick wall. Fortunately, I was the only person injured in the crash. The police were called and my vehicle was towed to be repaired. It was inspected by my insurance company. I called Ford several times to ask that the vehicle be inspected by a Ford investigator to determine why the brakes failed and the involuntary acceleration occurred. They misdirected me at least 10 times. I informed that there were 12 reports of the identical problem happening to other 2019 Ford Ranger owners. They ignored my requests. Upon recommendation by Ford Customer Service, my car was towed from a body shop to a Ford dealer where they informed by that there was at least one instance that the diagnostics showed a sensor failure. At no time did any warning light appear on my dash signaling me there was an issue of a sensor failure. In spite of this problem, Ford continues to ignore my request for an inspection of the vehicle. I went to a Doctor as I had a very bad headache and pain throughout my body. I had a concussion and soft tissue damage along my right side, both hands and elbows.

On Jan 04,2022 while flat towing my truck behind my motorhome it caught fire and burned to the ground. It was too badly burned for the insurance to make a determination of the cause. However, it started in the engine compartment. I know it was not a bad tire because all tires were inflated until the fire popped them. I was able to get the truck disconnected from the RV and know that it remain in Neutral with nothing seized up like the transmission or brakes because the truck rolled on its own once it was disconnected and had to be chocked. I had followed all the proper procedures and my key was in acc position. I had towed this truck many hundred miles prior. That day I had towed it 5-6 hours prior to the fire. This incident took place in Alachua County Florida. Alachua County Fire Rescur case # ACFR22-0000462 Alachua Police Department case #22APD00014 State Farm Insurance Claim #36-29co-58s

I am certain my vehicle does not shift correctly. It often seems to be in the wrong gear for the terrain and according to the dashboard seems to skip gears. Also it seems to not get the power to the road as if the transmission slips. It is intermittent. The start stop feature which I usually turn off, sometimes does not work correctly. I have only had this vehicle for about 5 months. When the start stop feature is off the vehicle still acts as if its on. I have read blogs of many people having similar transmission issues. A local Ford dealer told me it drove fine, nature of the beast and it shifts that way to save fuel. Also on off the gas there is a hard clunk which seem to harsh. I feel like at some point something is going to fail.

After the auto start stop feature engages at a stop, the engine begins to re-start but then shuts down completely along with all electric functions in the vehicle. Cannot engage hazard lights or re-start the engine until the the battery is jump-started. Once the vehicle is jumped, it functions normally and does not display any battery or check engine indicator. This happened once at a stop sign in a residential area, and again at a red light on a multi-lane boulevard with speed limit 45 mph.
