This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I received notification from fordpass that my 2019 Ranger was in deep sleep mode and that I needed to manually start it. I got into the vehicle and depressed the brake pedal as normal and pressed the start button. Many things happened simultaneously. Mostly lights flashing on the dash and eventually the headlights seemed to be sending morse code. But the engine barely responded at all. Later I hooked up a battery charger and when switched on the gauge bounced back and forth so fast it appeared to be an aircraft propeller. The vehicle was stationary in my driveway.
Tail light recall: Took vehicle to grapevine Ford in grapevine tx and they said they had done the work. Looking at the database it still shows no repaired. Unsure what to do about it.
Takata recall- I was recently in a car accident with my 2019 Ford Ranger and when I pressed the brake the would not apply so I continued to pump the brake and would not apply as I approached the other vehicle the precollison assist turned on and still nothing as I held the brakes down causing an accident
I was driving my vehicle and trying to stop to avoid a collision. The system indicated collision detection was engaged; however, the brakes would not stop and there was a wreck.
