Takata recall I have received a letter for repair from Ford. The letter specifies to call Ford Motor Company to set an appointment to replace the passenger side air bag, but when I called them they told me to call don davis Ford in arlington tx to obtain an appointment for the replacing of the passenger air bag, so I call them and they said they did not have parts yet for the repair, so I called Ford Motor Company and they said they will set an appointment as soon as they get the parts available and until this day I haven't received a call from them again. Right now the heat in the area where I live is bad and I am scare that the passenger air bag might explode. For your information the letter I have received has a posted date of April 2018. Thanks and please let me know.

Airbag recall - notice 16S26 recall 16V-384 received notice about recall dated April 2018. Called local Ford company - crossroads in kernersville, nc and was told they did not have the part...they suggested that I go to another dealership. I then called Ford company who contacted this dealership and was connected back to the manager (bill) who told me that the part would be ordered and he would contact me once it was in. This was on 4/16/2018....today it has been a month and I have not heard anything from anyone about this. The letter indicated that the parts were available and this recall would be replaced free of charge (parts and labor).... there seems to be some sort of delay. So I am now reporting this *issue* to you....I would indeed appreciate a prompt response and would like this done before something happens.

Takata recall - it has been nearly two years that we have been trying to get the airbag taken care of. The Ford dealer says that it has not been able to get the parts needed to fix and Ford's customer service recall line says that there is no anticipated date for the parts to be available. This is ridiculous - Ford is not putting enough resources into this to have it taken care of and thereby leaves my family with a choice of having a vehicle that is not usable or in the alternative put ourselves in serious danger. The NHTSA should do something about this,
Ford sent a letter (April 2018 - just over a week ago) indicating the airbag issue: NHTSA 16V-384 could now be repaired by their dealership (kings colonial Ford - brunswick, ga). When I called to make an appointment, the service department indicated that they do not have the parts to do the repairs and they have no idea when they will have the parts. It is now 2 years down the road since the air bag issue surfaced and there is still no hope of repair. Folks: This is bordering on absurdity !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
