This truck has been garaged since purchase only driven infrequently in snow and ice. I rotated the tires and noted they were wearing unevenly on the front. Also noted an increasing HOWL when driving on paved roads. Took to my mechanic. He found the boot DRY, the ball joint badly worn and the wheel bearings worn and needed to be replaced. This truck has only 41,750 miles on it.
I have never replaced ball joints an any vehicle I have owned. some with more than 200,000 miles on them. Is there likely a recall for this problem? It could be very dangerous to someone who never does anything but put gas in and drive.
