The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V384000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the cylinder head module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (ronnie watkins Ford Inc, 101 george wallace dr, gadsden, al 35903) and was informed that the part was not available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 38,790. Parts distribution disconnect.
