Tafata recall. We received the recall notice in March, 2017 and contacted a local Ford dealership to have the repair made. After the person looked up our vehicle in his computer, he replied that "it's only the passenger air bag that's affected, so don't worry, they only "go off" in hot and humid climates, and since Pennsylvania isn't considered a hot and humid climate, it probably won't go off". he essentially refused this repair on our vehicle. And, now we receive notice that takata has filed for bankruptcy, so where does that leave us? I do want to note that we purchased the car in another state, but apparently that doesn't matter per the recall notice. It states to contact a local Ford or Lincoln dealership to request a free repair. I would like to know when this repair can be made and hopefully, before it kills or maims someone in the vehicle, or I do reserve the right to sue Ford, takata and the local Ford dealership for all they are worth.
Takata recall. There has been a class action settlement for several car makers. Are there any attempts at a settlement with Ford" when will automakers be required to complete the recalls" Ford keeps telling me they don't know when they will be able to fix the airbags.
Takata recall: I called the Ford dealer. The manager said they have no control over the parts. He said Ford is looking for a supplier. And they have no idea when the part may come in.
Takata recall - I am unable to safely carry any passengers due to the recall on my truck. The recall was dated June 1, 2016. This is over a year ago. This puts an undue stress on me, family and friends not to be able to utilize the passenger seat of my vehicle.
Takata recall nobody will fix and replace the airbags for the recall. We have been trying since 2016 when we received our notice. Nobody has parts and we are told there is nothing they can do. Parts are on order. Same thing as of today we contacted lake elsinore Ford 951-471-4100 and gosch Ford temecula 951-699-1302. This is unacceptable what if my son is injured or killed from the airbag....all we get told is sorry! not acceptable!!! need help asap!!!!!!
