The truck was taken in to Ford Service on 2 separate occasions to fix the window shudder problem. The first time, the dealership corrected the problem by greasing the window runners. This fix lasted 3-4 days. Took the truck back to the dealership and this time they corrected the problem by shimming the regulator/glass and greasing the runners. This fix lasted approx. 2 weeks. This time they corrected the problem by applying the fix outlined in a Ford Technical Service Bulletin. The windows now operate very smoothly and has been 3 days (December 12, 2009).
The Dealership has had it in twice. They worked for a day and then started again. Dealership told me all Ranger windows shudder a bit. It will be going back again and again until it is fixed. This is the first Ford I have ever owned. Not impressed with the service so far.
The power window regulator has been replaced as well as most of the mechanism. This has reduced the shudder to a minimum that I can live with.
