Dealer could not find the source of the problem and treated the symptoms by clearing the fault code.
It seems that all younger mechanics will only use a hand scanner to diagnose problems and not diagnose problems by thorough investigation.
Best suggestion - lots of health and life insurance plus a good lawyer.
