Takata recall. I called a Ford dealer in my area and was told that parts are not available and no eta for the parts. They referred me to Ford customer service. I call the customer service line and they contacted the dealer and told me the same information, don't know when the parts will be available for the repair. I have received numerous calls, letters and emails telling me that the vehicle needs to be fixed and not to drive it. Customer service said I can drive the car. Why the contradiction ?

I have gotten numerous notices of recall and have taken my Ranger to the local Ford dealer, spradley fore in pueblo Colorado. They scheduled me an appointment and then told me upon arrival they did not have the parts and couldn't replace the air bags. They said Ford was concentrating on areas of the country with high humidity and pueblo, Colorado did not qualify. I have now gotten notices not to drive the vehicle.

Takata recall I have received several recall notices over the course of approsimately 2 years. The latest was received early Feb 2018. It states that parts are available to fix the recall problem, yet dealerships have no parts and dont know when they will get more. The dealerships are not helpful and I am concerned for my safety while driving this vehicle. In the past, when I have asked to be put on a list, I never get a call back. I do not feel like Ford dealerships are being attentive and the Ford customer serivice department says there is nothing they can do. Ive called the Ford customer relationship center automated line and it doesnt even recognize their own recall number 17S42....and then it hangs up on me. I just want my vehicle fixed. This has been going on for about 2 years...maybe longer.
