Told these folks at Ford over and over, something was wrong to no avail. Even under ex war cost 100 when it finally went completely out and had to be towed.
Almost a year to the day here we are again with our 06 Ranger towed to the shop for another clutch which they want to blame us for , and transmission problems-$100 for transmission covered under ex war, 332 for clutch not covered but replacedby them last July. Only driven on road by two oldies(56 & 52). We have only owned Fords our whole life- could have been their poster boy- really disappointed they don't stand behind what we bought from them in good faith. Really appreciate that with sick wife, laid off from job, Truck payment on non running truck, we have to fight to get them to do what they promised to do. One problem after another with this truck. Sure makes me doubt I'll ever buy Ford again- altho they did try to sell me one as I left service dept where they accused me of "running my truck into a pole and ruining the clutch on purpose"- NOT LIKELY! Took the ranger to the dealer I bought it from, clutch is a wear item, but a failure after 15K miles I was shocked the dealer would not step up and replace under warranty. This was my first and last time buying a Ford. I bought this Ranger when ford was having good deals, but I should have spent the extra money and bought a Toyota, my mistake.
