I contacted cowles Ford in woodbridge, va in April, 2017 about the airbag recall. They took down my VIN, said they would orders the parts, said it would take some time for the parts to come in and they would call me when the parts came in. I got another recall notice and called them in December, 2017. The service manager saw where they tried to order the parts before with no other information listed. He took down my VIN, said he would order the parts and would call me in about 2 weeks when they came in. He called me back and said he called in to order the airbag replacement parts and was told they would not be available until March, 2018 and for me to call back mid-March for a status. I have a voicemail where the dealership states this. The airbag recall says the parts are now available and to get the airbags replaced as soon as possible and media/news is reporting there was an airbag related death recently for my same type of vehicle manufactured one year after my vehicle.
