Discovered your informative site while researching for a recall notice. My truck has the very same problem as other complainers - chirp, more chirping, frequent squeal, and eventually all squeal. I expect a significant repair expense.
Update from Dec 29, 2009: Problem(s) discovered were: (1) tensioner bearings worn out, and (2) harmonic pulley appeared to be mounted wrong. Both parts were replaced which corrected the noise and cost $598.
