My wife was driving 35 mph in West branson, Missouri on said date (090100). The tire had less than 7000 miles on it. The air temperature was 100+ degrees. The tire was properly inflated. No load was in the bed of truck. There was one passenger. The tire blew out and the rim of the tire was bent, too.( dot number: Tire size: 225/70R15? )
No damage done.tires are very unstable and cause truck to want to roll over when you have to break hard. Like someone pulling out in front of you or just hard breaking !!( dot number: "?" tire size: P245/75R16 )
I have the 16" Firestone tires not under recall, however it is important to note that after learning of the recall I checked the air pressure in the tires of my new vehicle cold. Right front at 34.5 psi, right rear at 33.5 psi, left front at 32.5 psi, and left rear at 32 psi. The tires should have been inflated to 30 psi. It would appear that Ford does not control the inflation of the tires correctly.

This Ford Ranger 2000 has wilderness/ht P225/70rx15 tires on it. Consumer has noticed dry cracks in the front left tire, just below the tread on the sidewall. Ford has been contacted.
I was driving South on highway I-25 in Colorado when all of a sudden, I heard a "weird" sound and my truck started to swing from one side of the road to the other. I managed to get it under control and put it on the side of the freeway. The tire was completely shredded. Firestone blamed it on me, said that I drove over a nail or something and that they wouldn't cover anything. It was clearly visible that the thread had seperated, all around. I had lost my confidence in the tires since one other tire showed marks on the side and I bought Bridgestone tires. After a long discussion, they agreed to refund me for one tire.( dot number: )
All four tires since purchase have problems holding air. No warning was given, the passenger side rear tire simply exploded (sidewall blow out) while driving on highway at approx. 50mph.( dot number: Tire size: P225/70R15 )
Called the number above last week, still have not received a form from NHTSA. Ford nor Firestone are willing to do anthing about replacing these defective tires. They should be added to the recall.( dot number: W2uu tire size: 225/70R 15 )
While traveling in a residential area, the right front passenger tire blew out, the blowout pushed me into the curb and caused major damage to the suspension. After having the truck towed to the Ford dealer, I was told that I had to of hit something to cause the blowout. I hit the curb after the blowout occured. My insurance company paid for repairs under comprehensive insurance with a $250 deductible. I believe all the tires should be replaced and I should have priority since this incident happened, and I should be re-imbursed my deductible, along with my insurance company being re-imbursed( dot number: )

While driving I noticed that my truck was pulling to the right all of a sudden. Upon inspecting the right front I found the R front tire flat. After changing the tire I noticed that the tread looked like it was starting to come apart. I returned the tire to the dealer since it only had 900 miles on it and was informed that tires are not covered bywarranty.I purchassed a new tire and contacted Firestone via telephone. I was told that there was nothing that they could do, but after fighting with the rep. She put me on hold and when she came back she said "that for costumer satifaction they would send me a chack for half the cost less taxes after they recive a copy of the bill". I faxed them a copy and recived a check for $47 in a few weeks. In my phone convercation I stressed that it looked like the tread was comming part but they denied it and that was the end. Now the news hits that they have known about this problem and still refuse to admit it. I have unsafe tires and will as soon as possible purchass new one and seek to file a lawsuit on this matter.( dot number: Tire size: P245/75R16 )
PE00020, original tires on a, Ford Ranger, 2000, Firestone wilderness ht, 22570R15. All 4 tires are not completely round. This causes a vibration from the floor all the way to the steering wheel. The dealer replaced Firestone tires but all of them vibrated. The dealer then replaced tires with Goodyear and the rest with dunlop tires and no vibration occured.
Complete tire failure at speed. Managed to stop truck without crashing. Ford and Firestone clained tire was puctured, however it came completely apart. Offered new tire and rim at cost. In 30 years of driving I have never had a tire fail so dramatically.( dot number: Wzuu ipo tire size: P225/70R15 )
While driving down a back road in a rain shower, truck begain to pull to the right.I stop the vehicle and looked at the tires and the right front tire was flat.I changed the tire and returned it to the Ford dealer I purchassed the truck from because it appeared to me the tread was starting to seperate.as the tire only had 900 miles on it I fought with the dealer but lost and had to purchase a new tire to replace it.I contacted Firestone dorect and was in formed that they wanted the tire before they would make do anything and I informed them that the dealer had the tire but that they had a major problem with their tires if they come apart at only 900 miles. They did agree to pay for half the cost of the tire only, and sent a check for appox. $45 after I sent them the invoice.( dot number: 027596 tire size: P245/75R16 )
