While driving, I reached for wallet in front right pocket. Seat back bolt broke, causing a backward fall until seat back was stopped by XLT back wall. It could have caused loss of control.
Both seat recline bolts had sheered off. Local dealer quoted $24 each (x2) to be shipped from Detroit. No dealer within 200 miles had any in stock.
Found some bolts at home depot, (not quite the correct size but could be used in a pinch). This is a real hassle and given that the Ford Explorer had a recall for the same issue, and it would be great if Ford provided a fix or at least free replacement bolts for this serious flaw.
