The truck revs very high at low speeds, at idle, and during gear shifts, causing a very frustrating ride - and it puts more wear on the clutch, differential, and engine from jerking during shifts and the burning of the clutch during shifts. It's screaming near 3000 rpms every gear change. This issue is by far the worst issue of this truck - $700+ dollars of replacement parts with no fix.
The revving issue is affected by outside air temp and how long you run the vehicle for, usually getting worse the hotter the engine gets. I have not been able to fix this issue - I have replaced the idle air control valve, cleaned the mass airflow sensor, changed the fuel filter and blocked off some vacuum lines while checking for vacuum line leaks and haven't found the issue. I think it is a faulty PCM but I have not diagnosed it yet, as I am giving up on this vehicle.
