While driving on the highway, I was having difficulty steering. The car was pulling to the left and I had to pull over because it was too difficult to manage. Upon inspection, the right front tire was toed-in and the upper tire stabilizer arm broke away from the frame at the bracket. The bracket attaching the arm to the frame had snapped. The frame itself just below that bracket was cracked with severe rot on both sides. The rest of the truck is in perfect condition except for the frame. I was told that this cannot be fixed.
As I was crossing some railroad tracks I got a flat tire and when I got home and was looking at the tire I discovered the rim had actually rusted through. Is there any way that I can have Ford replace the rims on my truck?
The left rear wheel seal moved out of the axle housing, and caused fluid to get on brakes. This has affected the braking ability, at panic stop vehicle pulls hard to the right. The seal was replaced for the first time at 4700 miles, and has been replaced 4 more times since. The dealer denied that the axle housing was defective. Scc
While driving in town on hwy 20, the front right wheel assembly separated from the axle. The vehicle pulled to the right causing me to collide with a boulder in the side of the hill. Hitting the boulder deployed both airbags, put the truck up on it's two left tires and sent the vehicle back into the highway. When the truck came to a stop I got out of the truck to find the right front tire/rim/brake assembly resting against the curb approximately 15 feet behind the vehicle.
First the braking system started to vibrate when brake applied, rotors were machined, then brakes continued to lock up and calipers were replaced and now vibration has returned. Second the engine has had a running problem since almost day one and now has loud knocking and rattling comming from engine. Third, two of the steel wheels became weak and began to warp and truck could no longer be driven. As of now, vehicle has been in the shop for 22 consecutive days and I have only owned it five & a half weeks. So far, no repairs have been made to make the vehicle drivable.
