This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Left front coil spring broke (due to defective material and/or corrosion) going over curb. Tire punctured; car not driveable. Towed to local Ford dealer for replacement of front coil spring & components. Spent additional $$ to have corresponding right front coil spring replaced (as safety precaution) although dealer did not suggest doing so. Fortunate not to have been on expressway driving at high rate of speed.
