The lifters in my engine are going. When it runs, it sounds like a beat up ancient ford Truck. It ticks like a time-bomb, and from what I've heard the engine will probably last for quite awhile yet, before the oil circulation ceases and freezes the engine, but it's kind of lame that it has started just past 100K. I got the car at 95K and it was fine and maintained well as far as I know. I was hoping I'd get it to last for a good long time and have taken good care of it. Well, with everything that's going wrong with it, I won't have to wait for the engine to die, probably, before it gets towed to the junkyard for something else.

After the car runs for about ten minutes it starts this ticking sound. We've had a couple people look at it and they both thought it was lifters. We had a person work on it, he replaced four out of sixteen lifters that needed immediate attention. But after we got it back it still continues to tick. It doesn't at this time seem to affect the car but it's really annoying since the previous owner said it didn't tick before.
