this car would not run one day about 6 month ago and it always ran rough with a millage of about 140,000miles and I took it upon myself to fix this old speedster,(the car was my dads,he gave it to me if i could fix it)well i went on the internet and did some research on my own and found possible solutions for not cranking and when cranking wouldn't run hardly,so i bought a new distributer cap and new plugs and new wires and new Fuel Filter. LET ME WARN YOU,,,you must do the fallowing if a car has been sitting up for a few months after breaking down, you must-clean out you air filter and buy about 5 gallons of premium fuel to clean out the system, check all your fuses(interior and exterior )take a Hose the you can transport fuel through such as 3/4 inch low pressure hose and stick it all the way into the into the intake after taking the breather off and
pour some fuel directly into the pistons because you fuel lines may be gummed up and the powerful suction from the engine running will break the gum free.after that you should be good to go so crank the engine.and you must run it until it gets warm then
drive it and give it a good amount of RPM's in order to blow out all the built up carbon
,another killer of engines
