Ford TSB #SSM 50756
2021 Ford Mustang
TSB Document:
Affected Component: POWER TRAIN
- Summary
- Some 2020-2021 Mustang GT500 vehicles may experience erratic and harsh shifting at highway speeds and/or reduced speed when accelerating from a stop, with a powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator and DTCs P1601/P061A while using SelectShift. This may be due to powertrain control module (PCM) calibration. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle but not to use SelectShift. Engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in June 2022. Replacement or reprogramming of the PCM will not resolve this condition at this time. Schedule a follow-up appointment for repair in June 2022. Once the update becomes available, contact the customer and confirm the service appointment. Monitor OASIS for updates.
