As I was driving on the highway I slowed down due to traffic and I noticed a drastic change in the brake system responsiveness Applying regular pressure to the brakes did not stop the car. A brake system warning message appeared and I had to apply both feet to the brakes to stop the vehicle.
I parked my manual car at work. Put the emergency break on and the break disengaged on its own and 15 mins later the car ran into the metal frame of a pick up truck.
The car is equipped with automatic emergency braking (aeb) which does not work. 2 dealers have found no codes but say they have no way to test on the road. Called Ford and they were no help. Referred me back to the dealer.
