The morning after a big rain storm, I got in my car and started driving and heard water swooshing in the back. I opened the trunk and everything was soaked. About 1.5" of water was sitting in the spare tire well. Brought to a dealer who told me it was my fault and that I didn't close the trunk, to which I thought yeah maybe I did, I guess... They drained it, and I left.
A few days later it happened again, not as much water, but a lot of new water was sitting there. I brought it back and told them to actually look at it this time, and sure enough the trunk wasn't closing properly. They "fixed" it, I didn't notice any water leaks as bad as that one for a few months. But in mid June 2019 it happened again, and yesterday I noticed the braided wire on the top right side of the trunk gets stuck on the seal and lets water inside the trunk (I think), I have yet to test it but there is a big dent in my seal and the entire car has this absolutely disgusting musty smell and has had that smell for years since the first water leak in 2016. Back in 2016 my trunk would also pop open on the highway randomly, that was fixed by the dealer when they "fixed" the first water leak. I'm bringing it back to the dealer today, and can't wait to get rid of this POS.
