The steering gear including contour module went out. I was backing out and couldn-??t turn my wheel my sisters boyfriend had to drive it home on a curvy road with no power steering. I have a local mechanic looking at it but they said the part is on back order which means this must happen a lot. They finally got the part and now are saying it won-??t program so are needing to order another part. When I turned the car on to leave my destination it said service powersteering system and abs, but before that there were no warnings. I unplugged the battery for 30 minutes to rest the car and everything worked fine for another 1, then driving down the road it went out again.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 MPH, the steering wheel seized. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact depressed the brake pedal and stopped the vehicle. The contact was unable to veer to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the electronic steering gear assembly needed to be replaced. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall associated with the failure. The dealer advised the contact to bring the vehicle in to be repaired at her expense. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

I was driving normally on the road, when suddenly my steering wheel locked. My steering assist was off, so I forcefully pulled over to the side of the road. Hill assist, service asdvancetrac and steering assist codes went off. Lights for advancetrac and hill assist are still illuminated on the dash until today. It's been a week.

Location of electric power steering is the worse possible place. Failures are common due to water damage causing power steering to stop working at any moment. Even when car is moving which could cause accidents or death.

While backing up from a parking space the steering became difficult & kept trying to bounce back to center. It was intermittently extremely difficult to steer. Took the vehicle to the dealer. They allegedly corrected the issue. That night my husband was driving the vehicle and executed a right turn at speed. The power steering failed and the steering wheel violently jerked back to center. The vehicle straightened out of the turn into the median and toward oncoming traffic. With terrific strength and effort my husband was able to force the vehicle back into the lane and avoid a collision. The driver information center let up with warning messages and the traction control warning indicator illuminated. With tremendous effort we able to safely get the vehicle to the dealership. Since my husband was driving, his strength was the only thing that prevented impacting vehicles in the oncoming lane during the turn. I can only guess that had I been behind the wheel when the steering failed the outcome may have been tragic. The dealership now says the steering rack requires replacement. The vehicle only has 44K miles and is my daily driver.

Bought a 2015 Mustang GT Feb 28 at 9pm with 19200 miles on it. March 1 I noticed the car had 3 different tires brands on it. The car pulls bad to the left under acceleration, when you let off the gas it pulls right. Laurel Ford did a 4 wheel alignment on the car and it still pulls. Now they say it is the struts and the orded 2 new ones for the frount. I think it is the tires not the struts but they won't replace the tires because they would haft to pay for them. They only want to replace parts that warranty will pay for. They said no way they would pay for 4 new tires. This is a safety issue ⚠️ very dangerous driving the car because it is a manuel transmisaion and every time you accelerate the car pulls left holding the wheel straight does not stop it, it still pulls left, then right when you take your foot off the gas. What Ford dealer would sell a car with 19,200 miles on it with 3 mis mached tires on it. Also the tires have different load and speed rateings on each one, like 101Y, and 105Y, and 100 Y. I dont know wats wrong, I think laurel Ford is stalling, why"??" I have had the car for 15 days now still not fixed. I guess some one will look into this after some bodys gets killed like me and what ever car I hit head on at 70 mph.

2015 Mustang 2.3 L ecoboost, when at ideal for more then 5 - 10 min. It starts smoking white smoke from the tail pipes, the longer it sits the heavier the smoke gets. Steering : sometimes when turning left the steering wheel doesn't return to center, I have to pull the steering wheel, as if it is stuck. Transmission feels like it shifts hard sometimes and sometimes it does not. Passenger airbag : when someone is riding with me the airbag turns off. Driver side seat: Has cooled seats. Doesn't work all the time, states it is on, but not feeling anything cool. Contacted Ford and they will not do much about it. Except tell me to bring it to the shop.

At about 2000 miles I noticed the steering tending to pull to the left preventing the car from going straight down the road. It appears to happen on any road surface and was intermittent. The dealership suggested the Mustangs steering is very sensitive and was responding to road conditions. They deflated the tires as well as conducting a diagnostic. As time passed the condition worsened and developed to the right as well as the left. In addition the car developed a clunk noise when the wheels were turned hard left or right, also intermittent. My dealer checked it out, saw the pulling to the right as the technician road with me, and completed an alignment. They were unable to reproduce the issue but I experienced it as I drove it off the lot following their "repair." It continues to happen and requires consistent attention to ensure that when the steering goes awry it can be corrected. The last repair was 12/2 and 12/3 and the car continues to manifest the same problem. The dealership insists that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle that they can determine. I intend to call the Ford company.

As I was making a left hand turn into my driveway, we heard a slight snap noise and the power steering quit. Lights started coming on, on the drivers screen, indicating that many functions of the car had stopped working, like traction control. I could not turn the wheel. My husband wrestled the car into the garage. We called our local Ford dealer in the morning and they had it towed to the dealership. They said it was an internal E.P.a.S. rack failure. The part number was fr3Z-3504-a, kit - steering. I would hate to think about what would have happened if I had been on a busy road or interstate when this occurred.
