While driving home on a straight road, the power assisted steering (and other functions according to the sudden error messages displayed) stopped working. I was able to strong arm the vehicle into the driveway, and after shutting off the car for the night, it worked again in the morning albeit with loud noise with every turn of the steering wheel. The car is now booked in at the dealership three days from now (based on the availability of a loaner vehicle). This could've caused a serious accident if I had been cornering at speed when it failed.
