The problem first started in January 2017. I noticed a significant clunking noise every time I went over a speed bump. I took the car in for service and the dealership replaced the left front strut under warranty in February of 2017. Fast forward to December 2019, and the same problem has resurfaced again at only 13,000 miles or 30 months after the first failure.
Where is Ford getting the suspension parts for the Mustang? It seems like there is a common ground for recurring suspension problems. This problem was a recall for 2011 to 2013 Mustangs, so how long before it becomes a recall for the 2014 Mustang?
This will be my 6th trip to the dealer for the inherent Lower Control Arm issue. This began at 5500 miles, and now at 25500 miles, they have been replaced 5 times, and yet, another set has gone bad.
The last time they were replaced, the dealer forgot to tighten all bolts, and i had to return before I was 5 miles down the road from the rattling.
I'm about to call lemon law on this car.
