I has left a restaurant 40 miles from my home. I got on the newly paved highway and at 10 km/hr. I could not hold on to the steering wheel. The car drove like it had 2 flat front tires. I stopped the car got out and checked the tires and they were okay. I backed up about 50 feet and there was nothing there so I got back on the highway and at 10Km/hr. I felt the extreme wobble again. I contacted Ford Roadside assistance and 1.5 hrs. later the tow truck showed up to take the car to the dealer.
At the dealer the next day I was eventually told by the service manager that they could not find anything wrong with my 2014 Mustang and that there was a $50 service charge. The car has 85K and a 7 years 140k full warranty and a 140k full maintenance package. The service manager stated it must have been the pavement (newly paved within the last 4 months,) or the rumble strips on the side of the road. I informed him that I have been driving for 44 years and I could assure him that it was neither of those 2 things. I left the keys with the dealer as I refuse to drive that deathtrap.
I went home and called Ford Canada and they contacted the dealer who told them the same thing, the Service manager would take it for a third test drive and let me know if they found anything. I informed Ford Canada that I have done my due diligence and refuse to take the vehicle because I was afraid to drive it and lose control and kill me and my wife and or kids that might be walking on the sidewalk next to the road. I informed them that I would be contacting the media and legal avenues if it is not addressed.
