The car is given gas (more than an idle amount) when I do not depress the gas pedal. It happens in all 6 gears but it's most noticeable when in first or second. Also, while the car is in gear, the engine fights to slow down while depressing the brake pedal. This doesn't happen every time but when it occurs while in a parking lot with people around it becomes a serious safety issue.
