My wife and I just got this Ford Mustang Convertible with the SERVICE ADVANCETRAC message already on. We were told by the previous owners that this had happened to them once and that it was fixed and it should be covered under a warranty. I was looking into the issue with the dealership they stated that there was no warranty on the vehicle we would have to come out of pocket on it. Mind you that the car is still well under 25000 miles which is a concern seeing as how the car still has many miles of life left in it. Also I did some research and many owners of the same year and make of mustang are having the same issue. This also raises a concern as to how safe the car will handle when driving in bad weather as the entire brake system is not working properly meaning the abs and traction control have seemed to completely stop working all together.
I've also noticed that if I take a turn in either direction the back end of the car will begin to fish tail and I will have to manually bring the vehicle to almost a stop to correct the problem. Needless to say I am not happy with the way Ford is handling this issue with its customers and vehicle safety at all. This should be a SAFETY RECALL as the customer should NOT have to come out of pocket on an issue that effects more than a few vehicles. This is a problem known to many Mustang owners. The 2015 Mustangs have this recall but not the 2014s this is also a very expensive fix that Ford should fix.
