More to come as I am following protocol and listing the other times we had problems with this during the warranty period and Ford failed to diagnose it until after the warranty period and then denied our claim.

Update from Nov 13, 2015: May 11, 2015 same problem. Turn the key, now power to the starter. But, full power to all other electrical systems. Have video of problem. Take it to the Dealer, Banner Ford in Mandeville, LA. Get the car started and when arrive, of course it fails to duplicate the problem. They look at it and advise to have it towed in next time it happens. May 20, at a gas station. Turn the car off, put gas in it, then try to leave and nothing. Turn the key and no power to the starter. Have it towed to the Dealer, Banner Ford in Mandeville, LA. Banner tech notes the problem when it came off the tow truck. But, he then got it started. Nothing showed up on the computer, despite it stranding us at the gas station and his noting of the problem. They keep it for four days, do nothing to it as they can't find the problem. Advice is: wait and have it towed in next time. Fast forward to November, 2015. Son is stranded in AL. Turns key, nothing as before. Full power to other systems.Vehicle towed to dealer there. He diagnoses the problem as ignition cylinder issue. Calls and says, good news I know what the problem is. Bad news, Ford claims this isn't under warranty.

Contact Banner Ford, in Mandeville, LA who failed to diagnose the problem. They tell me it isn't their problem... it is a Ford Problem. I then call Ford Customer Service. The rep was rude and tried to tell me that nothing was wrong with the car as the only service done was a recall item back in 2014. She denied my request to have it covered under warranty. I gave her the RO #'s for the two times it was brought in for this very problem back in May of 2015 during the warranty period. She first told me I had to get the RO reports and send them to her. Then she agreed to get them. Called back and said that even though the RO reports note the same problem it was brought in for in November, since the tech's in May failed to find a problem then there wasn't a problem with the car during the warranty period. I pointed out to her that the car stranded us several times during the warranty period and was towed into the dealer. She still claimed it was operating as intended and was not defective during the warranty period. REALLY!!! So this means Ford does not expect their cars to start when you turn the key. This is a bonus we are to be happy about. The car only has 20,000 miles on it and she claims the warranty expired on September 12 and since the repair was requested two months later it is not a warranty item. Way to stand behind your product and your authorized service reps Ford. I own two Mustangs and have had such a bad experience with Ford on a $400 repair I'm looking to get rid of them and never deal with Ford again. The rep hung up on me to boot. Great training!!!!!
