Heard grinding when I turned the wheel while stopped or going around a turn. Took it into Ford and they said an internal defect in the steering box was causing it to tear itself apart and had to be replaced or could cause serious safety issues if left alone. Car was just over the 3 year warranty and Ford would not cover anything due to that. No one who worked on the car ever saw this and Ford did not acknowledge the concerns I had with the safety of my vehicle and the fact that nothing I did to the car could have cause this.
