Today (07/23/18) my vehicle shut down while driving on the freeway! It was very scary and sh*tty at the same time! Anyways, my vehicle did not give me any alerts or warning sings! I was very confused! All I saw was a orange wrench on my dashboard! I lost all acceleration power on the gas pedal! I wasn't able to accelerate at all. Lucky I was able to pull over on the shoulder with rate of speed I was driving with.
After, I managed to pull over I turned off my car waited about 2mins and turn my car once again. I went on my way for about 2 miles but scared sh*t-less that this would happen again and sure enough it did! Once, again here I am on the shoulder of the freeway waiting on traffic to reduce so I can at least get off the freeway!
Anyways, I manage to do so and contact Ford in regards to any possible recalls?!?!?!?!?!? The service rep I talked to over the phone was useless says he has never heard of anything like that. I spent all day looking into to this matter and finally found this website and see these complaints. I guess at this point it's safe to say that there is issue with control throttle body?

I'm now on my third Throttle Body unit. the car died on the road and would not even limp. Traffic was light so I only nearly got hit by two cars. I had to have the car towed which was good since they could read the codes. If the car had started the codes are wiped. I know this because two previous problems. the result was replacing the throttle body. the dealer had 22 of these in stock as this is a common problem they said. the price also dropped by nearly $100 of the price in 2013.
The Wrench warning light came on in traffic and car went into limp mode so bad my car finally would not move. It was rush hour and I was lucky not to get hit and was able to off the road. After waiting one minute I restarted the car and it was normal again. I drove directly to my mechanic. No codes showed to indicate the problem. This is the second time in 3 weeks this has occurred with no codes showing.
It appears this is not uncommon. Ford won't fix it until someone gets killed.
Ford has already repaired other models at no cost in this year model for bad throttle bodies. There are multiple reports on the web about similar issues with the Mustang, yet Ford is still charging customers to fix what appears to be the exact same problem. This part is obviously defective and I really expect better support and treatment from Ford.
