Mustang had front driver airbag inflator recall, took over a year to get this fixed, while being repaired, airbag light constant illuminated on dash panel, dealership ran diagnostic, indicated passenger seatbelt retractor and or sensor malfunction, within 2 days of picking up car received notice in mail of yet another airbag recall, passenger side inflator. Contacted Ford customer service regarding the passenger seatbelt retractor airbag sensor and was told has nothing to do with current recall and nothing will be done with this issue.
Near miss - car pulled out in front of me and I instinctively hit the breaks and passenger seat belt locked up and wouldn't release causing passenger discomfort and unable to breath, was unable to release seat belt so had to cut off. This is a 2010 Mustang convertible with less than 50,000 miles. Contacted dealer and said that the seat belt was not covered under warranty! it would be $300 + labor ?? looked online and it seems that there are a lot of people who have the same problem! Ford needs to recall and fix this problem!
