I was leaving a parking lot and making a right turn onto a street. The driver's door flew open. I was able to stop and close the door before there was any type of crash and no injury. During late 2012 I had noticed a problem with the driver's door not latching when I closed it. When inside the car I made a point of closing the door firmly. When parking the car I developed the habit of hitting the door latch to be certain it was closed securely. There was one other time after the first instance the door opened unexpectedly when driving but I was able to close the door, again without incident or injury. I bought a new door handle through the Ford dealership from which I'd purchased the car and had it installed in Sept 2014. I was told that it was the handle that wasn't working and not a bigger problem in the door. I ordered the car about 5-27-09 and took delivery 8-11-09.
My Mustang is blistering on the passenger side hood in the front at the "lip" it is blistering now however I have found through the internet, Ford knows of the problem and has ignored fixing it. I was turned down for repair sitting "out of warranty" I contend it is not a warranty issue rather than a fraud. Ford has issued a tsb on the issue but fails to cover cost to fix it. At 70mph the paint could fly off and hinder my view.
