I have paint bubbling on my hood...I had Conway Ford to fix this back in 2011 and it has come back again. I took it back to Conway Ford and they tell me they can't do anything about it.. I contact Ford and they told they would get back with me.. Conway Ford contacted me and told me that Ford would pay, 1/3 Conway Ford would pay 1/3, and I would have to pay 1/3, with no guarantee it would not come back. I asked him if they backed their work up and he told he just worked there.

Well, Ford has been having problems with the aluminum hoods since 2006 and have not fixed the problem yet. I took it to a body shop this morning and they tell me the only way to fix the hood from corrosion is to replace it.. Ford will not back up their product... They need to be sued and made to fix all defective materials on their automobiles..I am not satisfied with ford...Wont buy any more fords..

I contacted the local dealer from whom I purchased a 2008 Mustang GT and was given a complete run around. The corrision problem was listed in the Ford database at the dealership, but I was told corrision would have to come from the hood outside not the underside to be covered. The manufacture's flaw was caused by bonding aluminum to metal, confimed with local body shop, and they had past records to confirm this flaw. The local dealership said "since I was the second owner, I would not be treated as the original buyer", sure shows how Ford cares about you the buyer after the sale, even though Ford admits and list this problem as a manufacturing defect. I have been a Ford customer for the past 15 years, but after this experience I will never purchase another Ford product. With all the emphasis on buy American, why should we buy american automobiles when defects are never covered and the large auto business will always formulate a reson not to cover their manufacturing defects. I will never purchase another Ford automobile or American-made automobile, it is foregin made or no purchase at all!!! Note: Manufacturer's warranty for this defect is five years or 100,000 miles.
