The TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System light came on. The dealership claims that 9/10 times the TPMS has to be reset if the car has driven a while with the light on. Even though the car is under factory warranty, 35 000, miles, they want to charge $15.99 to reset the TPMS. I said just fill the tires with air and we'll go from there. I guess I misunderstood what bumper to bumper coverage was.
UPDATE: The dealership indicated that they filled the tires to the specificed 35 psi, but the light didn't turn off. They kept pushing to re-train the sensors, but I straight out told them to leave it alone. When I got the stang home I checked the pressure for each tire and the passenger tires were only 30 psi and the driver's side were 25 and 27 psi. Once I filled them all to 35 psi and took the car to the end of my culdesac, the TPMS light turned off. Don't belive FORD if they tell you that the sensors need to be re-trained!! All the vehicle needs is air in the tires and a trip up and down the road to "wake up" the sensors in order to read the new psi.
