The contact owns a 2007 Ford Mustang. While driving between 6- 10 mph, the contact rear ended another vehicle. The seat belt retractor failed and both air bags failed to deploy. The contact's head struck the windshield and the entire front end of the vehicle ended up in her lap. She sustained burns to her legs. A police report was filed. The local dealer stated that because the speed was low at the time of the crash, the air bags did not deploy and the seat belt retractor did not retract. The dealer further stated that this is how the vehicle was designed to perform and there was no failure. The failure and current mileages were 25,000.
