The clutch on the car began to slip at about 22,500 miles. This caused the car to accelerate slowly and presented a potentially hazardous situation. I am the sole driver on the car and have been driving stick shifts for over 20 years. There is no reason other than defect that this should have happened. It subsequently cost me over $1200 to repair the defect.

When fueling my 2006 Mustang, I find it hard to fill the gas tank completely. I don't have a problem until it is over 1/2 tank. Dealership assures me that nothing can be done to fix this. This is a design flaw with the saddlebag portion of the fuel tank. Also, I had to put a new clutch in my car at 17,000 miles. I had the maintenance package so Ford had to pick up the tab for this repair. I also have the extended warranty so I was able to get a loaner but I seem to be driving a Ford Focus allot since I bought my car. This will be an expensive car if I have to put a clutch in every 17,000 miles or so. I also had the right front suspension arm replaced at 19,000 miles. At this time I am having problems with the ignition starter sticking and causing a scratching noise when I start my car. This happens mainly in the morning when it's cold so I'm having a hard time convincing the dealership that the starter is bad but I will continue to have it looked at until I get results. Other smaller issues like trunk light had to be replaced, stick shift lever had to be reglued have occurred. I wanted a Mustang since I was 16 years old and this has been somewhat of a disappointing new car.
