We have two 2006 mustang gts. It's not co-incidence that the same problems are occurring with both cars in the exact same places. We barely drive one because they drink gas so much it's unbelievable, it's like driving a SUV. 1. The interior carpet on the passenger side keeps getting wet whenever it rains in both cars. 2. The trunk also gets wet when it rains. 3. They burn more gas than our Durango and Dakota does. 4. The side panels just so happen to come start falling off at the exact same time in both cars. We got one of the cars fixed, but what's the use if it keeps raining in there? 5. If the cars don't warm up for at least 5-10 minutes, depending how cold it is outside, they will start making this jumping/jerking and ideling feeling in the motor, and sometimes shut off when you make a stop. 6. The paint on the buttons on the radios are rubbing off, but the Ford company will not sell buttons or replace them, instead you have to buy a whole new system, which is ridiculous. 7. The cd player in one of the cars don't play cds if they have been copied or burned from a computer, they have to be store bought. Really Ford ??? 8. Because the lifetime brakes don't last long and have to continuously be replaced, that puts a wear on the rotors and tires as well. I have to replace my rotors once a year, and brakes like twice a year, along with tires. 9. I paid a little over $39,000 for this car, brand new off the lot with no interest, and yet I don't feel like I got what I paid for. It's sad to have to continue to pay an almost $500 car note, plus insurance, and make the same repairs over and over again. I don't think the price holds up to the expected standards, even with the normal wear and tear of the car. Just saying!!
