Mustang GT 4.6L V8

With about 6200 miles the Fail Safe warning light appeared. The dealer wanted a two week wait for an appointment. Local garage scanned code and reset. Within 200 more miles the same problem occurred and the dealer made a quick appointment. After lots of code searching they replace the throttle body assembly at a total cost of $1060. With a "hope this fixes it".

An outrageous amount for a car with 6200 miles. They would not contact Ford about a possible recall or warrantee for this part. I am now going to contact Ford as other throttle body complaints have appeared on this site.

Mustang 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,000 miles

2005 MUSTANG is by far the worst vehicle I have ever purchased. This vehicle is loaded with problems that I have seen other people complaining about. The very same problems. Ford should take care of these since is a common issue. The longer its delay ford should be fined and made to take all these cars back.

The car sped up really really fast. Had my foot on the break but could not stop. finally turned the ignition off

The gas pedal stuck when I was driving, was caused by the throttle body, just about killed someone when this happened.....
