I bought my car 11/28//2018 a 2004 mustang with the 3.9L. I've had it for almost 2 years now. I bought if from the original one & only owner who had bought it off the lot in 2004 I still have the sticker that came on the window of the car. So far I haven't had to do too much to it. Just the normal replacement of most parts slowly but surely. I had the spark plugs changed about 3 months ago and just last Thursday I was in the highway and suddenly I hear a loud noise and the noise did not stop. So I pulled off and went ahead and had it towed home.

So if this is an issue that happens often due to how the car was made and parts used by the Ford company, and can in the worst case can cause a fire. But that hasn't happened yet so they won't do anything about it til it does or someone gets hurt or worse dies because of it. Can't do anything until there's a fatality. That is crap if a company can't stand up and admit they used a cheap or faulty part and offer to fix and repair the problem for good. Then why would anyone want to recommend a Ford, better yet want to even buy a Ford. I thought Ford was a decent company but looks like my opinion will for sure change and how I feel about FORD......

Mustang GT 4.6L

Reading online about this and it appears to be a problem and should have been recalled. This happens to nearly all cars with this set of Heads. An aftermarket Tool to fix costs over $400 alone. Mechanics charge a ridiculous amount for this to fix. It can happen with no warning and is dangerous.
