The contact owns a 2000 Ford mustang GT convertible. While driving, the contact noticed smoke coming from underneath the hood of the vehicle. A local mechanic diagnosed that there was a hole in the intake manifold. The manufacturer stated that the VIN was not associated with NHTSA campaign id number: 00V355000 (visibility:defroster/defogger system) recall. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 50,000.
Vehicles drivers side rearview mirror and window contain yellow spots, consumer was informed by dealer to contact his insurance carrier, dealer informed consumer that yellow spots were possibly due from heavy rain.
