This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
When filling gas the gas pours out of the fill pipe befor it has shut off the pump. This has happened at most pumps that I have visited. There is no way to tell your are near the top of the tank. The gas just spills out for a few seconds. Could cause fires, enviromental damage and damage to paint on cars.
Consumer cannot fill up gas tank completely. Vehicle checked by dealer 4 times, and problem still exists. Dealer has replaced fuel filler pipe, tube assembly, fuel vapor control valve solenoid and fuel vapor storage canister assembly.
